STULZ Air Technology Systems today announced the release of CyberRow, a rack cooling system for small and medium data centers that can also provide targeted spot cooling solution for large data centers. The in-row design allows the CyberRow units to be placed close to the heat load, allowing data center owners to manage thermal loads.

CyberRow can be configured with a front discharge for data centers using hot aisle or cold aisle containment, or with a side discharge for open aisle configurations. The units can be installed at the middle or end of a row, and will work on either a raised floor or slab. CyberRow is available in a 12-inch wide chilled water (CW) model or a 24-inch wide direct expansion (DX) unit  that uses R410A refrigerant.

The new cooling system features EC (Electrically Commutated) fans, which Stulz said can provide precise air flow rates because they don't rely on incoming line voltage. STULZ CyberRow units with EC Fans allow users to offer automated variable speed capability with no VFDs.

STULZ Air Technology Systems makes a full line of environmental control equipment for data centers, including precision air conditioners, ultrasonic humidifiers, and desiccant dehumidifiers.
