Tips for moisture control and preventing mold

The following message was shared with OHIO's residential students on Sept. 23:

When it comes to mold and mildew, prevention is key. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention states that molds are found in virtually every environment, and they can thrive in warm, humid places, including our residence halls and University buildings.

Moisture control, air circulation and good housekeeping practices are essential to controlling its growth.

Tips for preventing mold and mildew growth:

Think there might be mold in your room? We’re here to help (and fast). Contact Facilities Management and Safety (FMS) at 740-593-2911. They’re available 24/7 and can quickly respond to your needs the same day (and no later than 24 hours).
